Typesetting and book design
LaTeX, Word or InDesign: we work in the tool your production already uses, and set every equation with TeX.
When a math-heavy book is made in InDesign or Word, the equations often end up in a different typeface or size from the text, and every round of corrections means redrawing them by hand. We set the mathematics with TeX whatever tool the pages are made in.
The manuscript’s equations, in LaTeX, Word or handwriting, are typeset in TeX with the typeface and size of your body text, and placed on the page as vector graphics that keep their TeX source. They stay sharp at any size, and corrections are made in the source and re-typeset instead of redrawn.
Our typesetting is led by Kosei Kawaguchi (KKTeX), co-founder and COO of Fermion and a student at the University of Tokyo. He writes LaTeX packages for exam papers, teaching materials and Japanese text; eight of them are published on CTAN, the archive of TeX packages.
